British Flag, 103 Culvert road, Battersea SW11

Battersea East pub history index

In 1851 there is a British Flag, Battersea fields which I am adding to this list. The 1871 census lists the British Flag, at 69 Culvert road with Sheepcote lane next on the enumerators walk. The 1881 census lists the pub in Sheepcote lane. The British Flag is on the corner of Culvert road and Rowditch Lane (formerly Sheepcote Lane). In 1938, the pub was newly rebuilt after road widening. The pub has recently been renamed The Flag. **
