Battersea East pub history index
The Three Horseshoes is at 1 Arthur street, Battersea. It existed from at least 1871 when a G Bradfield is the beer house keeper along with his wife and son. By 1878, George Coe has replaced him, and he is then the keeper of this beer house for at least 18 years.
By 1901, Albert Watkins, and his wife Annie from Newcastle are the beer shop keepers. And in 1906, it is clearly a change of owner as Solomon Foster is my last named beer house keeper. There appear to be a number of beer houses which close about this time through the compensation authority.
