All Hallows London Wall pub history index
The Red Lion existed from at least 1826. This pub was rebuilt in 1965 when the whole block was redeveloped the new pub took the address 31 Houndsditch as the entrance was now onto Houndsditch rather than Bevis Marks. A trade directory for 1932 shows that 17 Bevis Marks is on the north side of Bevis Marks, at or near the junction with Creechurch lane. In 2008 it was renamed the White Horse, after a short spell as O'Neil's. **
