Existed from at least 1829. In the 1861 census the pub is listed between between 10 Ships tavern Passage & 8 Leadenhall market. In 1881, at about 6 Ships tavern Passage [which is another Rose & Crown]. At all times the pub is listed as the Rose & Crown - confusing. This also pops up under St Dionis Backchurch parish!
This pub survived until at least 1939 but is now demolished. **
