The 1746 map shows a Black Horse yard at this point, so it does exist this early, and this is at the time referred to as Pickax street.
The 1799 map lists this section of Aldersgate street as Goswell street.
The Black Horse, Aldersgate street existed from at least 1805. At 114 Aldersgate High Street in 1851 & 1871; This pub is now demolished. **
If I am correct, the number 114 Aldersgate station is in the northern section, and north of Long lane and the Barbican on the west side of Aldersgate street, and also north of Carthusian street a few doors before Glasshouse yard.
