Thorrington pub history index
Thorrington in earlier mappings
Also known as the Ship. The Plough & Sail was exactly opposite the railway station in Thorrington. The station closed in the Beechings cuts, and the pub probably closed at the exact same time.
Today, the railway station is a builders merchants or something similar, and exists next to the railway crossing at Thorrington. The site of the pub is derelict, overgrown and looks like any other field.
