The Angel, 30 Broadway, Stratford, Alehouse, William John Kingston, freeholders are Smith, Garrett & Co Ltd, Bow Brewery, London

Westminster Gazette 28 December 1927
Two cheques for £8,305 and £16,348, the amount assessed by the Inland Revenue Authority as to the sume to be paid as compensation for the extinction of the licence of "The Angel" public house Broadway, Stratford.
As a result the "Angel" will cease trading on 31 December.
The freehold will pass to a firm of tailors, who have stated to have paid £10,000 for it. They intend to put five shops on the site.
