Suffolk and Essex Free Press 15 October 1919 - Compensation for Licences that had been extinguished was granted, as follows.
In the case of the Ship, St Osyth, the owners of which were Messrs C and W R Seabrooke, Brightlingsea, and the tenant, George Ramplin, it was reported that the agreement was £900 for the owners and £100 for the tenant; but the latter said that he signed the agreement under a misapprehension and he asked the Committee to allow him a little more. The Chairman said they could not interfere with the agreement.
