I found that my 5 x Great Grandfather Gamaliel Olley was the landlord of this Inn during and possibly before 1860. This is in the 1861 Census for his name. It is down as The Prince of Wales Inn. He is buried in St Nicholas church. He died in 1867. His wife was Mary (Isom) Olley, she died in 1853. On the census he was living there with Mary Ann who is down as wife but this was his daughter and Maria down as daughter when in fact she was his granddaughter . *
