The will of John Fitch, written 24 August 1790, shows that he was innkeeper of the “White Horse” in Sible Hedingham at that time. The will is in the Essex Record Office, ref. D/ABW 115/2/10. John was grandfather of Richard Fitch, who held the pub for much of the C19 as documented on the website.
