The Coach and Horses, Quendon from the late Mrs M A Barber to Harold R Smith

Herts and Essex Observer. 05 February 1981
The Coach and Horses goes back to around the same time (1721), says smiling landlord Mr Bill Yates. "I have no customers, they are all paying friends. Quendon is a lovely village with really marvellous people".
He and his wife, Marie have run the house for the past three years. They went there after Bill had served in the Royal Navy, the fire service and had become a professional chef.

This is later named the Quendon Arms, but that is also now closed.
