1950-1961/Claude Price/Licensee/../../Daughter**

My father Claude Price (called Jimmy by his customers) was the licensee of the Fox from 1950 to his death on New Year's Eve 1961. He is buried in the churchyard at St. Mary's, Ramsden Bellhouse. My mother Lily Price left and came to live with me in the States after she had closed up the accounts with Mann Crossman.
It was always my father's dream to have a pub, and he loved it and all his regulars. He left the LPTB (London Passenger Transport Board) to buy the pub. He was a depot inspector at the Hornchurch garage all through the war until he realized his dream when he bought the Fox. **
