Samuel was the son of David Legg at the Green Gate in Plaistow. Ruth died in 1905 aged 35 and Ruth Naomi died in 1909 aged 16. My grandfather Samuel then re-married Gertrude Smith and I believe that they also owned a pub in London/Essex area before they moved to Hove where they owned the Exchange and The Sackville on the Old Shoreham Road Hove.*
