Leigh pub history index
The Bell in Leigh was left empty for many years and then the roof just collapsed, thus making it OK to demolish to turn into modern housing stock or a KFC. The once grand Bell Hotel, in Leigh Hill, whose late owner, Arthur Wilkins, allowed it to fall in to disrepair. The original eventually fell down on 24th November 2015. It is now a nice block of flats.
