Captain E H Pudney, died on November 18th, 1957. He had owned his own ship in
the Merchant Navy and commanded a ship carrying a barrage balloon at Dover
during the war. He was licensee of the Ordnance Arms, Barking Road from 1944,
and also looked after the canteen at the Royal Albert Docks from September 1941
