Tuesday 30 August 2022 - Stonegate Media:
Located in Basildon’s Southernhay area and just a short walk from the Eastgate shopping centre, The Beehive and The Loft (formerly Colors) are to reopen on Wednesday 7 September and Thursday 8 September respectively following a £500,000 investment into the popular South East nightlife venues.
Receiving a complete facelift and revamp, The Beehive pub and its club The Loft have a new look interior. Brand new flooring, carpets, and booth seating areas have been installed as part of the refurbishment to the venue, along with new tiling to bring a fresh style to the popular nightlife spot. Upstairs in The Loft an additional DJ booth has been added as well as new VIP seating areas installed to create the best experience possible for partygoers, with the club’s bar now also adding a range of deliciously crafted cocktails to the drinks menu.
With the new football season now well underway, The Beehive really is the place to enjoy all the biggest live sporting events. With five large TVs throughout the pub there’s no better venue in town to catch all the action with your friends and family. Guests have a range of entertainment on offer with Thursday night pub quizzes and Sunday night Karaoke held at The Beehive along with Thursday night LGBTQIA nights held in The Loft.
The Beehive is to open from 8am everyday serving classic pub favourites for breakfast, lunch and dinner – from tasty burgers, chicken wings and small plate selections to a lovely Sunday lunch and brand new pizzas added to the menu, there is something for everyone. Behind the bar, the pub serves a range of beers, ciders, cocktails and gins – plus plenty of low and no alcohol options and hot drinks.
General Manager at The Beehive, Sarah Gage said: “This is an exciting time for myself and the team at The Beehive and we are so pleased to see our amazing venue almost ready to open again. This refurbishment has been a perfect opportunity for us to bring the pub into 2022 with a fresh new look and the final result is just brilliant. I can’t wait to reopen the doors on the seventh and see what our regulars make of the changes we’ve made to the place. This is a great pub for families and friends to meet up. For us it’s all about bringing the local people together as an all-day community pub, and nightlife venue.”
