My grandparents ran it for many years as live-in managers. I used to stay here from at least 1960, and I think they left around 1978. They were known as Jack and Nelly Baxter. I am 99% certain the pub was owned by a Mrs Hennings (not sure of initials but vaguely remember them being O.L. ); and the pub was a Watney Mann pub that I remember for sure. ***
