I am researching my family history and Charles Barrett is my great-great-great grandfather. According to the Bartlow 1861 census; he was the inn keeper of the Fox Inn and the family (who were all born in Ashdon) are as follows :

Elizabeth/wife/40; Sarah/daughter/16 ; George/son/13 ; Julia/daughter/11 Zebulan/son/7 ;

Kitturah Eliza/daughter/5; Deborah/daughter/4 ; Charles/son/2 ; Alice/daughter/9 months

John Woodrow/lodger/widower/farrier/Hay Burrow, Norfolk

George Barrett is my great grandfather, who had a son Thomas who was killed in San Sebastian, Spain in 1924 and as my father was only 8 years old at the time, any information I have found so far has been from the internet. I have Thomas' birth certificate and (death documents which are all in Spanish!). I have the 1851 census results for the family, but their address is given as : Church End .

I would like to know Charles and Elizabeth's date of marriage and where, but have not managed to trace it, nor the date of their deaths. I have tried to trace Thomas King, who I presume is Elizabeth's father without success.

The 1871 census shows the family as being at the Fox Inn (Bartlow census) :

Charles Barrett/50/Innkeeper ; Elizabeth/wife/49 ; Julia/daughter/19 ; Keturah/daughter/16 Charles/son/13 ; Alice/daughter/10 ; Lizzie/daughter/8/Bartlow Hamlet ; Georgiana/daughter/2/Bartlow Hamlet ; Thomas King/father-in-law/widower/79 Former soldier/Bartlow Hamlet

Any information you may have about the family would be gratefully received **
