Accessibility friendly : Highbury & Islington is not accessible to wheelchair users due to stairs between the platform and street level. The Overground station does have lifts, but check that they are working.

The station is close to the Union Chapel, and for alternative step-free routes is Canonbury station although this is a walk from the Union Chapel.

You can change between the northbound platform towards Tottenham Hale (A step 50mm/gap 75mm) and National Rail northbound services. You can change between the southbound platform towards Brixton (A step 50mm/gap 75mm) and National Rail southbound services. Changes are only available going in the same direction! No boarding ramps are available.

No stair-free entrance/exit.
